Tips for closet styling

Looking how to organize, style and make the most of your closet space? There’s a reason we all enjoy shopping designer boutiques and showroom floors. All of these spaces are created by professional merchandisers.

Here are a few tips we take to help you better “merchandise” and style your own closet!

BAGS

Style your bags the same way you see them on display in the boutiques or stores! Keep them front-facing, and ensure they’re properly stuffed with a pillow or tissue paper to keep them looking full. For smaller handbags and evening bags you can use bag stands to keep them looking straight and nice. You can also style your bags by color, sizes and displaying them in different areas.

SHOES

Its important when styling this area to make sure there’s not a shoe out of place. Arrange them so that they’re all sitting straight, with little space in between pairs. Another way is to put them all front-facing, or maybe alternate the direction of the shoe so you can identify them better. Other ideas are styling by color or by occasion.

CLOTHING

Organize your clothing by color, to ensure your eye moves smoothly around the space from dark to light colors. Also, you can organize it by occasion. Your hangers must have a huge impact in the look and feel of the space. Keep them all the same. They must be consistent for a curated look. There must be a little space between each, ideally 1-2”.  You can place jeans neatly folded on the shelves or using a skirt hanger. The experience to ease the access to your cloth will make your daily experience feel great and organized.

ACCESORIES

Display your accessories like you see them in boutiques. Be creative!

DÉCOR

Your closet area is another space in your house that needs décor and attention. It is so important to treat this space like any other space in your home. Add a seating area, rugs, mirrors, trays, decorative objects, fashion coffee table books and even flowers! This will make your whole dressing experience like a shopping experience! You deserve it! STYLE IT!
